Best Memory of The Day

“There are so many incredible memories to choose from, however one that really stands out is our big entrance to the dining tipis. Katie’s brother Tom was the MC and whilst announcing ‘Introducing Mr & Mrs Bloomfield’, all the guests stood on their feet whilst swinging neon pink & orange napkins around their heads to Darude’s Sandstorm – it was truly electrifying! The tipis had been transformed with beautiful hanging floral chandeliers, chic dinnerware, colourful candles and twinkling fairy lights – our dream had been brought to life with the help of some incredible suppliers and we will be eternally grateful for those memories.”

DO YOU HAVE ANY TOP TIPS FOR THE DAY:

Our top tip would be to do whatever is right for you and not to worry about what you think you should do. We also really appreciated having the support of The Wedding Planners in the lead up and throughout the weekend – their help with the setup and running of the day took a huge amount of stress off our plates.

SHOUTOUT TO YOUR FAVOURITE WEDDING SUPPLIER

Our favourite supplier has to be Paper Dreams – Simon helped us create the most incredible installations with his beautiful hand-dyed paper decorations made of recycled materials. With a wide variety of shapes, sizes and colours to choose from, we used the decorations throughout the garden in all of the different areas including the ceremony around the waterfall, dining tipis and dance stretch tent

TELL US ABOUT YOUR WEDDING DAY VISION

We dreamed of creating the most whimsical magical day in Katie’s Mum’s garden overlooking the Suffolk coast – an explosion of colour and sparkle. Chris had always wanted a tipi style tent so as soon as we found Events Under Canvas, we knew we had to book you. Due to the rose garden positioning, we were worried that a tipi wouldn’t work in the space, however once our wedding planners met up with the EUC team onsite, they found a solution of a large tipi tent on one side connected with a fairy light tunnel over the roses to a dancing stretch tent.

IF YOU HAD YOUR TIME AGAIN WHAT WOULD YOU DO DIFFERENTLY?

I don’t think we would do anything differently, but if I could speak to ourselves before I would say not to worry about anything. Everything went to plan on the weekend, our family and friends had the most incredible time, and it was literally the perfect day for us!

WHAT MUSIC FEATURED ON YOUR BIG DAY?

We LOVE tropical house and as soon as we mentioned this to our lovely wedding planners (Tori & Caroline from The Wedding Planners) they said we needed to book Sister Sax! Dressed in head to toe sequins, Sister Sax kicked off the drinks reception from the terrace with Ibiza-style tunes getting the party started in style.
